About Kaiti

“A painter paints pictures on canvas. But musicians paint their pictures on silence.”

-Leopold Stokowski

My Story

Kaiti Liu is a Taiwanese American vocalist from Irvine, California. She began studying classical piano and music theory at the age of 6 through private lessons and the Certificate of Merit Program. Piano was the foundation of her music education. She then pursued learning new instruments through her school orchestra and guitar ensemble. Determined to follow her passion for singing, she co-founded Trogons A Cappella at the University of Southern California where she studied Classical Voice, Pop Voice, and Songwriting. She has been inspired by artists like Kina Grannis, Sam Tsui, and Kurt Hugo Schneider.

After graduating in 2016, Kaiti competed on the national Chinese television show ETTV Top Idol, composed scores for films like Home is Where the Sunsets and The Boy From the Lullaby, and earned the Digital Music Production Certificate at Santa Ana College. She currently sings with Master Chorale, Jazz Band, and continues piano and vocal training through the Applied Program at Irvine Valley College.

Kaiti encourages students to have fun with music and never stop learning! She inspires her students to share their songs with recitals, YouTube, or at home with friends and family.  Kaiti helps her students showcase their best abilities for auditions and competitions, as well as pinpoints areas to improve their overall musicianship.
