Josafat graduated from Vanguard University with dual degrees in Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance and Music Education. He is currently attending California State University of Fullerton and earning his Master of Music degree in guitar performance. Josafat has performed in ensembles, quartets and orchestras at local colleges and abroad in Argentina, and in the BING Concert Series. Beyond his love for guitar and a proficiency in bass guitar, Josafat studied piano for four years, and voice for two years under Heather Reithmier.
His teaching experience includes being the music director and primary instructor for the Smart Foundation, providing free music education at the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Ana for students from the ages of 8 to 18. Josafat was also the teaching assistant to the guitar director at Vanguard University, and has provided private lessons for over 10 years.
Students can expect to work hard and learn to have a passion for music. Josafat seeks for his students to not only practice proper technique in the desired instrument, but to find lesson both fun and practical, so that they can go out and simply make music. Josafats life goal is to push the arts and demonstrate music's importance in life and its power as language.
