My Story

Anne is a graduate from Montclair State University, where she received both a Bachelor of Music and a Performer’s Certificate in Vocal Performance. She was very active in the opera and choral programs while at school. She has performed twice with the Intermezzo Young Artist Opera Program in Brugge, Belgium, and has extensive experience singing sacred music, such as Bach and Handel. Anne is currently a member of the Seraphim Music Ensemble, and performs with Capitol Opera, Celestial Opera, Independent Opera Company, and Riverside Lyric Opera. As a working performer, Anne has helped many students with both the musical and the interpretive side of audition preparation.

Anne has many years of teaching experience, having taught guitar, piano, and voice in her native New Jersey for many years to students of varying ages and interests. While teaching there, she also worked with students who wanted to sing and accompany themselves on guitar and/or piano, as well as students who wanted to learn to harmonize with other singers in a band setting. With Molly’s Music, Anne has taught in school elementary music classes for three years, and has worked with multiple group vocal classes, including the Pop Star Camp.

When teaching a student, Anne likes to understand what that student is interested in, believing that music is about finding something to make a connection with and then sharing that connection with others. Anne is passionate about music, and while classically trained, she enjoys listening to and teaching many genres, including pop, country, musical theater, and rock.
