Throughout the years, we’ve worked with countless talented students. Some are professional musicians and actors, and others are kids just beginning to find their voices. As a music teacher, one of my favorite things to do is watch my students and former students perform. Many of them are developing an online presence, including YouTube channels and SoundCloud clips. I wish I had room to post something about every single amazing student I’ve worked with, but for now, here are 10 student YouTube channels to subscribe to.
Naomi has a stunning jazz-pop voice. She’s at USC now, brightening up Los Angeles with her beautiful personality.
Emily is a singer/songwriter and mandolinist. She has a gorgeous indie sound and an incredible feel for music.
If you’ve been to any of our recent recitals, you probably remember Lily! It’s hard to find a singer with such wonderful control of her voice.
LaNee’s channel only has one video so far, but it’s impossible to listen to her and not want to hear more of her!
Aly is in a few different music groups, including a wonderful duo with Emily called Elison. Here they are crushing it on “Youth.”
The adorable Jeannie does a lot of performance work and is probably best known for her role in Teen’s React.
Samara might be younger than the others, but she’s one to watch out for. Over the last few months I’ve been bowled over by the amount of improvement she’s made. She recently auditioned for America’s Got Talent, and we’re all rooting for her.
Daisy is easily one of the most creative people I’ve ever met. Look at the number of instruments she manages to play in this one video.
Kaia is another young singer/songwriter who seems to have improved every time I watch her perform.
Haley’s voice really just speaks for itself. She’s studying commercial music at Belmont University and is unbelievably good.
