For those who haven’t seen or heard this musical, Once on This Island is a beautiful Romeo-and-Juliet-style love story, which takes place in the tropics. When she is fated to save a young aristocrat, peasant girl Ti Moune becomes a pawn in a bet between the god of love and the god of death. Will Death triumph, or will Love prove stronger?
