Sarah began teaching private lessons at Molly’s Music in early 2012 and began assisting in the office later that year. Her role in the business has grown alongside it and given her the opportunity to still stay in touch with students through OC Glee, Pop Star Camp, and substituting, although her regular teaching days ended after the first five years. These days, she keeps busy directing new programs with charter schools and partners, finding new teacher talent, assisting with The Inside Voice video lessons, and starting new education programs for the broader non-profit, CultureHum Foundation.
Whether you’re a child or an adult, Sarah is quick to support your lesson journey. She was mostly self-taught because of budget limits for her family, so she knows the value of it as a child, as well as how very possible it is to still succeed as an adult coming to lessons. She’s eager to help you find your teacher and support your goals, so don’t be shy. It’s our job to make sure everything is being done to get you to wherever it is you want to go with your music!
Before Molly’s Music, she earned her Bachelor’s in Intercultural Studies, tutored high school at NLMUSD four years, volunteered with the OC Music Awards, and worked with an arts education group called Buildabridge International. Her hobbies include improving her Spanish, reading sci-fi, and teaching ESL.

Our teachers are what set Molly’s Music apart. They’re an experienced, educated, and dedicated team of musicians.
The Inside Voice
A low-cost voice lesson subscription service primarily based on video exchange, for as low as $11.95/month. As with regular voice lessons, you’ll be paired with your own personal singing teacher you can develop a rapport with over time.
Performance opportunities can be as important in your musical development as the lessons themselves. At Molly’s Music we offer at least 6 recitals per year, 3 Kid-Teen ones, 2 Teen-Adult ones, and an Instrumental Only Recital.
Pop Star Camp
Our annual week-long pop vocal performance camp. You’ll make new friends, learn some great vocal technique, and work on the craft of commercial music performance. The class culminates in a Spotlight Performance, in which each student shows off his or her own solo. Class sizes cap at 12 to make sure each student gets plenty of personalized attention.
