Piano Lessons
Piano Lessons at Molly’s Music
There is an immediacy and a wholeness to piano that puts other instruments to shame. Approach a piano for the first time, and there’s no awkward body positioning, no tuning, and no spending weeks trying to eek a sound out. You could opt to never join an ensemble, and still access the highest highs, the lowest lows, and play all of the melodies and harmonies you could dream up. It’s a songwriter’s best friend, and an excellent first instrument. We’ll help you conquer all 88 keys (or fewer, if keyboard’s your style), whether you’re into rock anthems or Rachmaninoff.
our approach
To Piano Lessons
We approach lessons with a focus on your personal goals, whether you want beginner piano lessons, advanced ones, or something in between. As a music school, we don’t condone one style of learning over another, and believe that different approaches work for different students. If you’re looking to learn the classical way, we’ll get you reading music in no time. If you’re more interested in learning to play and sing your favorite pop songs, that’s okay too.
Our Philosophy
We encourage you to set musical goals and ask yourself where you’d like to use your musical skills outside of lessons. It’s okay if your answer is as simple as I want to play in my own living room during the holidays or as daunting as I want to get into a music conservatory. Whatever your goals, we encourage you to look at your ‘big picture,’ because looking forward keeps you moving forward.
In-Home Lessons
Having piano lessons in your home is especially efficient, because students often have an easier time practicing when they’ve learned the material and technique on their own piano or keyboard. For in-home piano lessons, you’ll want some kind of piano or keyboard in your home.
Studio Lessons
While there are many benefits to in-home music lessons, including convenience and comfort, the professional atmosphere we create for our studio lessons is a very unique experience.

Recitals
Performance opportunities can be as important in your musical development as the lessons themselves. At Molly’s Music we offer at least 6 recitals per year, 3 Kid-Teen ones, 2 Teen-Adult ones, and an Instrumental Only Recital.
Studio M
Pop Star Camp
Our annual week-long pop vocal performance camp. You’ll make new friends, learn some great vocal technique, and work on the craft of commercial music performance. The class culminates in a Spotlight Performance, in which each student shows off his or her own solo. Class sizes cap at 12 to make sure each student gets plenty of personalized attention.
