Why We Are Different

Most of the summer vocal camps out there are focused on musical theatre or choral music. Taking a cue from what the majority of our students love to sing, we created a summer camp focused on pop and rock music that gives kids a unique hands-on experience of what it takes to perform commercial music.

What they will learn

Contemporary Singing Techniques

Your superstar will learn the latest and greatest techniques when it comes to vocal performance, from powerful pop belting, to breathy indie pop–all while using the healthy breath control you’d learn in a private voice lesson.

Performance Techniques

Having a great voice is just the first step! Learning to perform the song and light up the stage is just as important. Pop Star Camp students will learn how to move, hook an audience, and express themselves through their performance.

Song Interpretation

We want our young singers to discover their own unique voices. It’s not about copying Ariana Grande. It’s about taking music our students love and helping them make the song their own, using their own beautiful voice.

Collaboration with Other Musicians

For learning the nitty gritty of advanced vocal technique, private vocal lessons are where it’s at. But there’s nothing quite like the experience of meeting and getting to make music with other like-minded people. It’s the best way to learn harmony, blending, and work as a team.

Overcoming Stage Fright

Look, we get it. Stage fright is a real thing and is often listed as people’s #1 fear. There’s no better way to overcome it than to just get up and do it, especially in a nurturing, supportive, and totally safe environment.

Mic Technique

Learning to use a mic effectively is an often overlooked skill in the performance world. People often assume that if you can sing, you’ll be able to just stick a mic in front of your face when the performance comes along. But there are important things to know, from how to hold it, to how to move it based on vocal style and volume.
